Cute movie about two people who dislike each other but are stuck in each others life. Then add a baby and the fun begins. Real life struggle. Lots of comedy too.

I loved this movie. When two not so close friends are chosen to raise a baby together while both have important jobs and know nothing about babies, it causes some heated moments between the two and not in a romantic way. It is a good movie and worth the watch.

The story line while plausible does have a few issues. Mainly that the baby's parents never discussed with their friends that they were name as Sophie's joint guardians in their will and that they would be expected to live in the house together if anything ever happened to both parents. Who would go to all the trouble of getting their affairs in order in case they die and not discuss their plans with those they chose as their child's guardians? The neighbors were also a bit too much. They included the now obligatory gay couple, fat lady who makes the all too submissive man do everything, businessman with trophy wife on the prowl couple and everyone just gets along all hunky dory to make us think this is a normal American neighborhood. Beyond those two issues the movie is just a nice typical feel good chick flick. we like to watch it when we don't really know what we are in the mood for and don't want to think or be cussed at constantly or having things blown up every 10 seconds. It is different enough from the typical chic flick romance that my husband likes it for nap time.
