Member Movie Reviews Craig S. (InnerMacro) from WAUSAU, WI Reviewed on 2/18/2024... A basic plot supported by great camera work and special effects. Without the special effects, this movie could be pretty boring at times - it's really difficult to "show" how someone feels on drugs through acting alone without simply appearing like a drunk, etc. Lots of small touches to the overall visual experience flow well with the story, and the pacing is good to keep the viewer engaged. While the ending was unexpected, DeNiro's acceptance of Cooper's explanation seemed too easy. . . maybe they should have shown more 'proof' that he was as omnipotent as he claims. Some important plot elements seemed a little rushed, but overall a solid performance for Cooper. 4 of 4 member(s) found this review helpful.
