I grew up watching this film. It's a neat story about family and a good classic.

Movie Reviews

Positive Over Negative
Stephen P. Frakes | Salem, Illinois /Cottonwood, AZ | 09/14/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I've seen three versions of Little Lord Fauntleroy. It is a great story of how positive triumphs over negative. This is an excellent version. Having seen the newer color versions (1980 & 1995) before this black and white (1936), I was afraid it might not hold up, but it was every bit as good, if not better than the newer versions. I highly recommend this version of the movie. I'm glad I purchased it and will enjoy watching it many more times."

"This DVD was of excellent quality for a movie produced in 1936. Very enjoyable family movie."
For now, Anchor Bay out-of-print title is best version avail
G. Alan Hicks | 11/27/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"If considering purchasing this title, the Anchor Bay DVD is the only decent print of the film on the market.

Although MGM Home Video appears to currently possess the license for the Selznick films (previously marketed by Anchor Bay), they have yet to release a new addition of Little Lord Fauntleroy.

Whatever you do, avoid all other cheap, public domain releases. The quality is awful!"
