As a lifelong Nancy Drew fan, I was a little hesitant to watch this movie. I didn't want something that just made fun of the cherished (albeit, yes, sometimes outdated and cheesy) books. I was pleasantly surprised by this picture. Of all the 6 or 7 new movies I watched one weekend, it was the only one that didn't disappoint. It didn't take itself too seriously, but it also wasn't a straight up parody, either. Emma Roberts was lovely, the plot was cute, and I ended up really enjoying it. I definitely recommend this movie for anyone looking for a lighthearted evening in front of the TV. 8 of 8 member(s) found this review helpful.
