Movie ReviewsBy Far the Best Conversation Yet...A Small Group Leader's Re NotATameLion | Michigan | 08/02/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "Putting aside the obvious and excellent good taste shown by Rob Bell's son in picking the Orange kickball, this Nooma 006 "Kickball" just spurred what was by far the most wide-ranging and deep conversation that our group has yet had.
Have I mentioned that these Noomas are the finest small group curriculum I've found? They are. If you have not tried them, you should. You won't be disappointed. I don't know what it was--the sound of the waves, the beautiful song by Brie Stoner, Rob's Awesome teaching, or the storyline that probably touched something in the hearts of all the fathers in my guy's group--but Kickball opened the door to some guys pouring out their hearts: their stories, their fears, their deepest hopes to live the way of Jesus honestly and truly. And that is what small group is supposed to be about. A HUGE thanks to the folks at Nooma for this one and for all the Noomas. I just spent two great hours with some guys that I would go through the fire with anyday. There is nowhere else I would have rather been than there tonight with them." |
