Unlike Brad, I NEVER watched the original show, but got this DVD as part of a "package" for a multi-order. Gave it a "what the heck!" watch yesterday and found myself REALLY enjoying this one! Its definitely a "tongue-in-cheek/ballz-to-the-wallz" action/comedy IMO. Some unbelievable & exaggerrated stuff, but I watch movies to be entertained, even if it isn't completely believeable at times. The 4 cast members really meshed well. LOVED Murdock! That guy is friggin' NUTS!!!!

Note: fans of the show should watch for the scene AFTER the end credits!

I was a HUGH fan of the TV series, and loved the old cast - That said, what I really like about this is that it is more of a "pre-series" movie, We get to see how the team got into trouble and started to be wanted by the Government. That I really liked. I also liked the chemistry between all of the actors, they really fit with each other. Sharlto Copley (who is this guy) did an AWESOME repraise of Howlin' Mad Murdock.

There is a lot of unbeleivable stuff in this movie - in that way they followed the TV series really well. If you give the film some liberties (which you really have to with any film) fans of the old series should like the updated storyline and feel of the film. Though I wouldn't expect a sequel to come out.

Good effects, good story, excellent acting, good direction, nice scenary, and good soundtrack.
