The wife wanted to see this one and I had a free rental coming to me from RedBox, so at least it only cost me some time. In other words... I took one for the team here, fellas.

In case you care, this is the fourth "Twilight" installment, in which the annoying, whiny, terminally depressed Bella and her sparkly vampire paramour "Edward" have their fairy tale wedding, consummate their marriage on their honeymoon, and then Bella gets pregnant with some kind of never-before-seen half-vampire, half-human mutant which has the potential to threaten the entire world. Or something like that. After a while I stopped paying attention and was simply hoping that the werewolves would just bust in and kill everybody, but no such luck.

This was an EXTREMELY slow moving film (I swear, nothing happens till the last half hour) and the hipster indie rock (lots of plaintive piano ballads) that provides the soundtrack for nearly every scene was pure torture.

Don't make the same mistake I did, guys. If you have a penis, avoid this film.

I can't decide if this is my FAVORITE movie of the Twilight series or my second favorite? All in all this movie was fantastic!!! It had so many twist and turns. I love how it covered all areas starting from the love scene, to being very hilarious, to being intense (birth scene), to leaving me wondering and anticipating the next movie!

This contains spoilers, though how anyone could not know these things...

I knew going in this wouldn't really thrill me. It's from my least favourite part of my least favourite book in the series. (Bella & Edward get married! The Dress! Bella & Edward go on a honeymoon! The Sex! Bella gets pregnant! Yea! I really couldn't care.) This portion of the book served no purpose except to move the story forward from "what was" to "what needs to be" in order to come to an appropriate conclusion. The whole film could have been condensed into a first act, at most a first half. Anyway, the parts of the movie that have things like 'dialogue' and 'action' aren't bad, the music-video-montage parts (somewhere in the 40% of the film range) are just ghastly. If you fast forward through all the music videos, you can watch 45 minutes of decent prequel for the final film.
