A great movie about the life of singer, Johnny Cash. It was mostly filmed in my hometown in Memphis, TN. I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoyed Johnny Cash and his music.

A riveting performance of Joaquin Phoenix as Johnny Cash and Reese Witherspoon as JUne Carter. Johnny's brother Jack dies as a boy and even though it was not Johnny's fault his dad still blames him and Johnny feels guilty. A young Johnny Cash marries his first wife Vivian and hits the road.He meets June Carter and the fireworks sizzle. These two were dynamite together on and off stage. Cash's wife has enough of June Carter and leaves him when he starts hanging Pictures of June Carter all around their home. I would have left him long before that. Then JUne dries him out of the drugs and alcohol and he commits to being a Christian before she will Marry him. They were married 35 years when they died in 2004 4 months apart, first June, then Johnny.I think that he could not live without her. A sizzling love story. June Carter and Johnny Cash has a a hot, hot chemistry between them, and so does Reese and Joaquin who play the sizzling lovers.
