Movie Reviews

Watch out for confusing editions
dmwstrauss | Chicago | 11/07/2005
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Ok, this is like a compilation of material from the original Yesspeak DVD and Yes Acoustic. Apparently the Yesspeak DVD was edited down from 160 min to 75 min and broadcast to viewers in cinemas around the US to celebrate its release. That is the version of Yesspeak on this DVD. Also, the people in the cinema were treated to an actual live acoustic set from Yes broadcast live from LA; that 35 min set was later released on the DVD Yes Acoustic, and you get the whole thing here (and also the 25 min "behind-the-scenes" of the Acoustic rehearsal narrated by amateur avuncular comedian Rick Wakeman). So get this instead of the Yes Acoustic DVD, and you get a taste of the Yesspeak DVD, but not the whole thing, and you don't get the audio-only concert from the European tour that's apparently on the original 2-disc Yesspeak DVD set, you just get documentary stuff."
