Movie Reviews

Recommended for speech & drama teachers
John Slade | Ojai, CA United States | 03/11/2009
(4 out of 5 stars)

"The title is a bit misleading. This is a documentary about a very inspirational inner-city high school teacher and his successful public speaking program. He teaches high school forensics where students train and compete in oratory, debate, and various dramatic interpretation events. More testimonial than "how to," the film nevertheless offers drama/speech teachers and their students a good sense of what the events are like and the rewards of developing a similar program in their own schools. (Check out the National Forensics League (NFL) online for more information and helpful videos.)"
