The Hate U Give (THUG) is not based on true events even though it feels like it. Amanda Stenberg impresses but Anthony Mackie does not even though a big fan of him. It will keep you glued and interested with what will come next but they missed the exit of what could have been a great movie that should have brought people together instead of pulling them apart. Amazon ratings seem inflated so watch if you must!
