Movie Reviews

Jean Rollin's Rose!
Liquid Faith | USA | 12/04/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I am a long time Jean Rollin Fan. Finally this movie became avaliable on DVD, so I took a chance and bought it. I was simply astonished. My favorite JR films to date are fascination, grapes of death and living dead girl...but this movie was a real treat. Not his usual take on gothic horror, but genius none the less. This film is a more poetic surrealistic statement about love and death than his other films. A story of a young man and girl who meet and go on a date in a graveyard, only to find once they're in the place is massive, and they get lost. Unable to escape they begin a long struggle with sexual attraction and sanity as the clammer through the endless row of graves.

I highly suggest this film as a stylish/gothic love story movie..or if your a Rollin fan and haven't viewed it..I'd spend the money or track down a copy somewhere. It's well worth it."
