This one is nice for the continuity of Naruto shippuden, but is what the fans consider filler (Not originally in the manga). It is a nicely crafted story about the 3-tailed beast and the interaction of all the cast is done with care and humor (Watch the omake... it's utterly hilarious), but it really does not advance the main story much.
It's entertaining enough if you don't follow the manga.
