Movie Reviews

Corinne' s Mom
Nancy B. Shurtleff | Lake Placid,NY | 10/18/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Dr. Libby Kumin clearly and compasionately describes all aspects in the process of learning speech for persons with Down Syndrome . She reminds those with Down Syndrome and those who love and respectfully help them in this process to be patient. I met her years ago at Loyola when my daughter was very little she is a teenager now. While we are still in the process this DVD has energised us once again to keep at it. It also reminds us how far we have come."
What is intelligibility?
C. Doner | Luxembourg | 01/27/2008
(3 out of 5 stars)

"I was expecting to see methods for helping my daughter learn to speak, and this was not addressed. A lot of time is spent explaining what intelligibility is, and the rest of the time is spent stating what factors affect intelligibility. My rating would have been lower if some of the children weren't so cute."
