This 2 disc box set includes two movies: The Adventures of the Wilderness Family, and The Adventures of the Wilderness Family, Part 2.

The first movie is "The story of a modern day family who become bored with the hassles of the city life in Los Angeles. They head for the wilderness never to return. Skip Robinson (Robert Logan) and his wife Pat (Susan Damante Shaw), along with their two children, Jenny (Hollye Holmes) and Toby (Ham Larsen) begin an incredible encounter with nature. After building a log cabin in a deserted, mountainous area the family befriends a pair of bear cubs and is beset by a ferocious grizzly. Join them for this wonderful adventure."

The second movie continues the story. "After moving from the city and building their cabin high in the Rockies, this adventurous family now faces the rigors of fierce winter storms, avalanches, and a pack of wolves. This sequel recalls an internationally loved case... George 'Buck' Flower again plays the adopted mountain-man grandfather. Once again we watch America's favorite family brave the wilds and prove that the best things in life are free."
