If I had seen this first I may never have watched The Conjuring. The background music is so loud you can't hear the interviewer. I expected some photos or relics from the house but, none of that. Andrea Perron is self absorbed and kept reminding us of her degrees. Spoiler alert: She lost credibility when she dropped the bombshell that she has also has been having alien encounters. That's about when I shut it off.

Very educational. I thought I knew a lot about the death camps until I saw this. Tons of interviews with survivors and guards. I suggest watching Lore after you see this.

As a huge fan of low budget grindhouse, I was expecting to be disappointed. I expected some hack with a digital camera to add a grainy effect and call it grindhouse. I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, they used the grainy, scratched film effect. But they pulled it off. Both stories were surprisingly good and the action sequences were exceptional considering the obvious low budget. And tons, and I mean tons, of original grindhouse trailers before and after each feature.

I watched this after Auschwitz: Inside the Nazi State and the portrayal of the attitudes and what was happening immediately after WWII was spot on! Like it came directly from the interviews of the survivors and those living in Europe at that time.

Standard fair: recently deceased wife, two young kids and a rebellious, overly hormonal teenage daughter. Move into an old house with artifacts from the previous owner. Creepiness ensues. Hard to get past Todd Lowe's "Terry" character from True Blood but he does a pretty good job. Probably wouldn't buy it but worth the trade. Ending was a bit anticlimactic.

I'm not a cold person but I honestly didn't care if all the main characters died. They were annoying and there was no emotional connection to them. Not a bad premise, but the movie could have been over in the first 10 minutes if they would have just wrecked their car.
