This DVD includes 4 episodes. The first two, "World Travelers" and "Away Great Play Date" are in the Blue's Room format, meaning that Blue and her friends are puppets, not animated characters. Blue and friends talk(!) and interact with human actors, both inside Blue's room, as well as out in the world.
The second two videos are "old-school", animated Blue episodes: "Environments" and "Special Spaces." These feature Blue with Steve, in his house, with friends like Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper and Shovel and Pail. Blue doesn't talk in these episodes, she merely makes noises, reminiscent of the teachers in the old Charlie Brown cartoons.
My children enjoyed this DVD, especially the old-style animated Blue episodes. To be honest, they never got used to Blue the Puppet, and the first two episodes freaked them out a bit. But we watched "Environments" (Steve and Blue visit and learn about the tundra, grasslands, and rainforest) as well as "Special Spaces" (especially cute when Paprika talks about changing her baby room to a big-kid room) numerous time. And "Environments" has some really catchy songs by a special guest--the late Nell Carter as Mother Nature. In fact, I am humming them now as I write this . . .

One of our favorite "Blue's Clues" DVDs! Contains 4 episodes:
Blue's School--Teacher Blue has the whole day planned for her "students" (Steve, Periwinkle, and Tickety). There's Story Time, Art Time, and even a field trip. A great introduction to school!
Something to Do Blue--Blue and Steve are looking for something to do, and Mr. Salt teaches them to mix three things together to create an all new game.
Rhyme Time--Steve and Blue play a rhyming game, and they need your help. Create rhyming stories, lullabies, and more. Fun and engaging!
Puppets--Steve and his friend, Sock Puppet, have to figure out what story Blue wants to tell with puppets. This is by far our most-watched episode on the DVD. Too cute!

My kids love Clifford! I like the underlying, positive message that comes through the Clifford stories--the way to be a good friend is to be encouraging and accepting of others.
