I loved this movie as a kid. "Wolfman's got nards." was one of my favorite lines. I had to buy it when the anniversary edition came out. The important thing to remember as a parent is that your kids are going to hear/see stuff and use language that some refer to as foul. It is all about teaching kids when it is okay to use certain language and when it is not okay. As for gore I just thought it was cool or ignored it.

While technically a sci-fi movie the 1980s remake of The Fly with Jeff Goldblum is the all time scariest movie for me. The idea of turning into an insect frightens me and I think the make-up effects are awesome to this day although I still can't watch the movie without wincing and a lot of eye covering.
