I have a DVD that can't be listed because the UPC code is in the database for a different film.  Title is "The Bay Of Love And Sorrows", UPC 872322007599.  I removed it from the plastic myself when I got it.  But that UPC code is in the database for something called "Natural Killers: Caracal Top Cat Book & Dvd Set! Predators Close-up".  Before I contact the site moderators, what options do I have?

I recently got one of those "Cannot Mail" messages.  (The sender accepted my request, but then said it couldn't be mailed.)  My question is....if you mark a request this way, aren't you supposed to provide a reason why it can't be mailed?  It's not that big a deal, but I'm curious.

Hi Leandra;

Have you tried playing the disc in other players?  If the skips don't always happen at the same place, it may not be the disc itself.  (I would assume if it was the disc, it would always skip at the same point.)  It's worth a try.

I agree that you likely can't post it - obviously, if it's not playable.  As far as the DVD only, you would probably have to put in the DVD Bazaar.  Discs offered normally must have everything included, and this probably wouldn't count.

I'm looking for Ken Burns "Baseball" film on VHS.  Would prefer the entire set, but if you only have individual tapes I'd consider that.  I particularly want the first tape, covering the early, formative years of the sport.  Thanks.

Hi all-

I'm looking for films featuring the comic superhero Captain America.  There were two 1979 TV movies starring Reb Brown, and a 1990 film starring Matt Salinger.  As far as I know, they have all been released on VHS only.  If anyone has these and is looking for credits, please let me know.

Thanks!

Larry

Hi all-

I've only been a member for about a week, and I have an interesting dilemma.  I received my first DVD today, and the plastic case is from Blockbuster Video.  (The Blockbuster logo is imprinted in the plastic, so the DVD is obviously an ex-rental.)  But here's my question:

The rules state the following:  "If your DVD is an original (not a copy) of a movie, in its original case with outside artwork, and it is playable, it can be listed here." [emphasis added]  So would I be correct in thinking that this disc, technically speaking, is unpostable?

Now before I get myself in trouble, I'm just asking because I'm curious.  The disc plays fine, and I already marked it received.

Thoughts, anyone?

Larry
