But the 1st place should be reclaimed, including canceling the second place person awarded a second posting of the same DVD in that same time frame. Unless the second DVD person claims second posted copy before it can reverted back to the first person who should be the rightful spot holder. Swapa has a pretty good site. But take one case for example, it is a very purposeful act when I auto receive a disc based on my wish list as soon as the poster posted it, but yet - I go back and see if I can help the sender anyway by getting more discs (before postage is bought). It would be easier that I just stick to my more valued (original choice) and hope the sender feels obligated to send a single disc because it was auto claimed, and the requestor could be away from Swapa and his email for who knows how long - not the requestor's fault if not present. But I try to add value and insist on mailers getting more credits, when possible. Of course, when there's a movie I really want, and it's just one movie, it feels great when I get just the one (mailer only had one I wanted). But I wouldn't be upset if the mailer requested more credits to make it worth it. I think Swapa is a good value, but only with good communication among members, and members that make more value happen when possible. Swapa should fix this issue when mailer cancels because it's not fair and it should be the next logistical project to be installed. Swapa is a nice sophisticated site, but for one credit and $3.15 postage, a mailer needs more motivation NOT to cancel other than it might put the requestor back in line with (probably) no chance again

I'm back! Just got this from the help section:  Link

--No mention of requestor retaining spot. So I came up with this, the requestor retains his spot on the wish list until the seller marks as mailed. Additionaly, the requestor can force mailers to compete just in case two mailers post the same DVD against a requestor's Wish list in the same given time frame. Of course that then turns into a logistical juggling act of it's own, but that will be the requestor's responsibility.  (And further down the rabbit hole, the second place person would concurrently have rights at the third or fourth disc (all identical posted DVDs); and the third place person - fifth or sixth copy, in case an act of randomness posted the same disc that many times in the same time frame). Whew, yeah! Something like that. And this would create more delay before extra "legit" copies can expand further down the line once the upper place holders get what's theirs. Of course Swapa would have to consider all this, since it would delay their incoming fees and it would really be a project to somehow make this work without overcomplicating what is an already perfectly-balanced complicated trading system. I say, do it! And Swaps will continue, because discs aren't going away. GoHastings is gone, so this is my go-to lately

I think it makes perfect sense to list the item as it was orginally packaged. Also, Ultraviolet codes and other digital redemption codes that had once expired but never been used, are almost all working again now. I redeem expired codes all the time. If you're not sure just leave all the original slips that came with the DVD since it adds to the original feel. As far as the extra DVD being valued at 2 credits, I could try to justify that so far as it is a convenience factor, both in that it saves having the space of an extra case while providing the extra option (no blu ray player?), or at least it's a backup copy. To the right person, it's their preference. In general, I don't pay the extra 2 credits since I don't need the extra copy. Back to the code, just based on the notion that UV codes expire makes sense that ithey shouldn't be expected to include unredeemed codes with the purchase (swap) value. When I redeem codes, I file those slips away since it's basically my only proof-of-purchase. I'm not sure if those code redemptions are still valid if I should no longer possess the physical disc though. It would seem the code is only valid should it remain as secondary to owning the disc. I'm sure the movie studios know exactly the answer to this question..

Just a thought..

The USPS sometimes makes you wait a while before finally refunding. I think this is to prevent the label from still being used. I had to wait somewhere around two months I think. I don't know Swapa's procedure tho.
