I'm down to only three 26-disc bonus packs left!  When those three are gone, they're gone!

The Blu-rays listed below were all part of the Blockbuster by Mail rental inventory, so they’ve all seen some use.  They come WITHOUT CASES; they’ll be shipped in the white rental envelopes that Blockbuster kept them in.  Many of them are the rental versions, which means that they might be missing some or all of the special features that appear on the retail discs.  They’re all in very good condition; there may be some light surface scratches that don’t affect playback.  I can’t guarantee that all of them will play, however, as some older Blu-ray discs have been known to develop “disc rot.”  I’ve pulled all of the discs that look like they may have developed rot (which usually shows up as a “bronzing” of the data side of the disc), but I can’t be 100% certain that I caught every disc.  NOTE: Any discs that have the term “3D” in the title are Blu-ray 3D discs, which also have a 2D viewing option.

Here’s the deal:  Pick at five of the Blu-rays listed below for one credit each, and I’ll send you seven bonus Blu-rays of my choosing, including films starring Denzel Washington and Liam Neeson and an Oscar-winner for Best Picture.  That’s 12 Blu-ray discs for 5 credits.

However, if you pick ten of the discs below for one credit each, I’ll send you the bonus seven Blu-rays and an additional nineteen more Blu-rays of my choosing, for a total of 36 Blu-rays for 10 credits.  These additional 19 discs star such actors as Glenn Close, Richard Gere, Mark Wahlberg, George Clooney, and Steve Carell, and feature filmmakers such as David Fincher and the Coen Brothers.

PM me with your choices and your mailing address, and buddy me either the 5 or 10 credits.  Make sure that you also post what discs you want in the thread, so that others know what’s no longer available.  Please note that I only have a limited number of the bonus 7-disc sets, and only six of the bonus 26-disc sets, so act fast to make sure that you get one of them.  Due to shipping costs, I’m not accepting orders for under five discs.

Remember, choose 5 discs to get the 7-disc bonus pack, and 10 discs to get the 26-disc bonus pack.  Any additional movies that you want are one credit each.  The titles in these bonus packs have already been chosen, so placing multiple orders will get you duplicate copies of the bonus packs…so you may want to avoid doing that.

I suspect human, cat and dog urine all break down and age to a strong ammonia smell.  Yucky for sure!  

My ex-wife had a cat that would pee on things when she got angry, and this DVD set smells EXACTLY like that.  It's worse than just an ammonia smell; it's truly foul.  So, from personal experience, it's a cat pee smell.

I got in a DVD 6-disc set today from another swapper.  I noticed an unpleasant odor when I opened the package, and when I looked at the set more closely, I discovered that it had both cat urine stains around the bottom inch of the box AND a most horrible cat urine smell.

I marked it as received with a problem and explained all of this in an email to the powers that be, and my credits reappeared instantly, but I think that the swapping rules need to be a bit more specific about barring discs with strong unpleasant odors.

What do you guys think?

When I receive a disc, I immediately give it a quick visual inspection and then mark it received.  No more than 30 minutes lapses between the time that I receive a disc and the time that I mark it received.  I realize that I'm at the anal-retentive end of the spectrum on this.  Most of the time, other members mark the discs received quickly.

In the last few weeks, however, I've had three discs that were received (and I know, thanks to the post office's first-class package tracking) and not marked.  I would think that three days would be plenty of time to mark a disc received, but I've let them go a full seven days before sending a PM to inquire about it.  I don't keep a lot of extra credits in my account, so I like to get those credits back as quickly as possible.  In all cases, the other members have been very accommodating and have quickly marked them received, but I was just wondering...what would YOU consider to be an appropriate amount of time needed to mark a disc received?

P.S.  During the summer, many people go on vacation, so I understand in certain cases that it may really be a week before a disc can be marked received.  I'm just wondering about a general length of time.

I bought these two discs when Movie Gallery was going out of business.  They each come in a full-size DVD case with the Blu-ray artwork stuck under the plastic.  I looked at the artwork closely, and it appears to have been either printed on an inkjet printer or color photocopied--it doesn't look quite as glossy as the usual Blu-ray artwork.

Anyway, the discs are in great shape.  Take 'em both for 3 credits total.  If you want them, PM me AND post in this thread to alert others that they've been taken.

I've got

I've got a DVD copy of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World up for grabs, but I can't post it because it has a bunch of scratches.  I bought it used, and the scratches were already on it.  I was pretty discouraged, but I put it in to watch it anyway, and, to my surprise, it played without a hitch.  None of the scratches are deep, but there are quite a few of 'em.  Now, my DVD player isn't super-picky about playing discs, so that may be a factor.  Still, if you don't mind taking the chance, you can have it for a credit.  Post here and PM me to let me know that you want it.

For you hunters out there (or those who just enjoy watching hunting DVDs), I've posted a dozen or so hunting videos on my tower.

I've got Disc 2 of the Criterion 8 1/2 set up for grabs.  It does NOT have the movie on it; instead, it has a 52-minute documentary called Fellini: A Director's Notebook, a 48-minute documentary about the film's composer called Nino Roto: Between Cinema and Concert, and some other stuff.  Disc has a few scratches that don't affect its playability.  Just the disc--no case.  Asking 1 credit.

I've also got Season 4 of Six Feet Under, five discs only (no case) for 3 credits. 

And lastly, I've got Season 1 of Prison Break, six discs only (no case) for 3 credits.
