I didn't see on the swap that we are to wait until we watch "verify" each title we receive before acknowledging they were received in the system, I open every disk and look at the condition of the disk surface, if it looks in poor condition, I pop that disk in at that time to check it. I try to mail members their requested titles timely, I don't think it's much to ask that they be marked as received timely. Why should the mailer have to wait a week(or more) after USPS states the package delivered to have titles marked received in swap system? Thank you for your feedback :) ~Lois |

Well, because that's what's fair. As you say, if the discs look new people will often mark them received immediately. That's especially fair to the sender when it's a multi-disc item, which might take a week to watch. If a disc looks "iffy" people will usually play it first before marking received. That's fair to the receiver. As a sender I usually consider it normal for somebody to wait up to a week before marking received (after delivery). I am retired now, but when I was working for a living I travelled a lot. People who are not at home full-time (vacations, work, illness, etc) will take longer to mark. I don't use the postage sold through the site (I forget what it's called) but I seem to remember reading that when you use their postage paid labels you get the credits right away when the item is sent. You might want to check that out. |

There is no rule how long someone can take to verify a disc's playability, unfortunately. This is left up to each member, but most are considerate and mark as received right away. Personally, my opionion is that it is very inconsiderate to hold up people's credits for long periods of time. To check a disc you can pop it in and run on FF. How hard is that?
