The thread for June will go up tomorrow AM. I'm looking into some ideas to make the thread a bit more user friendly, maybe splitting it into a twice monthly... Altering the rules in any way is NOT an option. These rules were approved by the Team and work fine. I'm also not considering splitting it into separate Blu and DVD either b/c there are too many mems sending and ordering both.

Have the following WL titles. I am looking to send out movies in groups of 3 or more. These can be combined with tower titles. I have never had a cancel that threw a movie off into the system. Wow, people need to be aware of doing that to someone. Although I've never cancelled things already posted to my account, I have cancelled requests made on here. Some folks are not removing things that have been ordered from their lists; others do not periodically check to see that what they are listing are actually WLd. I go through mine periodically and catch some that are no longer WL, or no longer the only copy. So I've ordered from folks on here who haven't done the checking and I'm getting movies that aren't even WL--one order I recall kept changing and by the end none of it was even WLd. I know you don't have the time to PM everyone on every little thing, but if someone is not following the protocols (like removing ordered or cancelling on someone) there should be consequences for not following. |

Everyone might want to add to their own post about how to cancel the order. I'll address this with an update to the rules / procedures tomorrow. Two parts: I don't know if the "you" in there was meant to be me, but just in case ; ) I check the postings at the beginning of the month and most (can't say all as some are taken before i log back on) "added" postings as the are posted. Mems are PM'ed and asked to remove / edit any discrepancies. Ultimately however, every mem is responsible for checking WL status of anything that they order. That's why we require either links or UPCs. Part two: There are consequences. Anyone not utilizing this thread properly will be asked to remove themselves from the thread. I keep track of these things. But I have to know about it. If there is a problem with a transaction, someone needs to send me a PM. FWIW, I pretty much left the thread "go" this month to see how it would run without my "please do" PMs and to see who was self-policing and who wasn't. It gives me a better feel for what actually needs tweaked ; ) |
