I didn't find anything about REQUESTING. The rules say you can't POST outside of the thread. |

What's to stop everyone from flooding this forum with their own WLs. Unbelievable they would allow this. |
I know, that's why I only put a few of the ones I really want. I read and reread the rules to see if it was ok. I'm not trying to rip off the system here. |

Erica makes an excellent point. |

What if it did get flooded? Wouldn't that be good for business? The more dvd's that exchange hands the better for SwapaDVD. |

Its always been considered quite taboo to ask for things from your wishlist, whether it was deemed allowed or not. Very frowned upon by members, and is more likely to result in people not posting things to you rather than you getting actual items because of the thread. I too couldnt find anything directly in the rules regarding this so I would consider it a gray area. I will contact swap and clarify and see what they think. |

No no no! If this is controversial I will just stop! I didn't realize this was frowned upon. I'm sorry! I will just wait in line! |

Well, Id still like to know for the next person who does it (as it is inevitable someone will) :-) |

Nope. Not OK. It seems very obvious that this would not be OK - perhaps that's why it was not spelled out in the Rules topic. Now it is. Members must NOT ask for Wish Listed items for which they are not #1 in line. Everyone please take note. |

I want to speak out on Sean's behalf. I have had several transactions with Sean, and he is consistently polite and thoughtful. He is definitely one of the good guys that I am glad is part of the Swapa community. I'm sure he wouldn't knowingly break the Swapa rules. And thank you, Kathryn, for checking into this for us and clarifying Swapa's official position. |
