I picked up Solaris at a second hand store for 2 bucks this week.  I'd never heard of it before, don't remember seeing any advertising for it or anything.

It's really a pretty good movie! It reminds me a lot of 2001: Space Odessy -- the lighting/colors, the camera work, and some of the music.

I picked it and a couple of other up intending to post them here, but I might keep that one for a while. I think I'll track down the book upon which it was based as well.

I've never watched Solaris.  Your comments, and other folks comments, are making me curious about the movie.

Are you refering to the 2002 version, or the 1972 version?

the 2002 version. George Clooney.  I think there are several copies in the system! Make someone's day :)

Don't care to see too much of George but I did enjoy the movie.
