Help Center - I received a DVD that was 'lost in the mail'

Search Terms:

Sometimes a DVD will arrive late -- after the system has declared it "lost" . This can happen if it took a long time in transit from its point of origin (this is particularly true if the sender or recipient is in AK, HI, GU, PR or at an APO/DPO/FPO address).

When a "lost" DVD arrives, you should mark it received from your Transaction Archive.

To do so:

  • Go to your Transaction Archive:

    • From My Account: click the link "Transaction Archive" in the yellow bar at the top of the page
    • From anywhere on the site: place your cursor over My Account in the toolbar at the top of any page on the site and choose Transaction Archive from the menu that drops down
  • Sort your Transaction Archive by:  Requested by Me -  Lost in Mail- Date Requested - Descending
  • Click
  • Locate the Lost transaction for this DVD in the list.
    • Click on the transaction for the DVD.
    • The next pages are the regular DVD Received pages
      • Click on the next page
      • Provide more information about the swap on the next page
        • you will also have the option to send a message to the sender of the DVD
        • you will also have the option to provide comments on the swap that only we will see
  • Both your account and the sender's will be updated when you have done this.

Lost DVDs must be marked received if they arrive, to keep your account in good standing.
