It has always baffled me how our brain works and this movie shows some of the science behind that thought. In parts, it's hard to watch because he demands that they inflict pain on others, but it's all done in the name of science so it's OK???

I hadn't heard of this when it was initially released and enjoyed it thoroughly. The film depicts Dr. Stanley Milgram and his controversial social science experiments, most notably Obedience to Authority (1961).

Excellent! The main character breaks the fourth wall throughout the film, talking to the viewer, and many segments are filmed in front of a black-and-white photo of the period. What could have been a dry topic was fascinating.
