Just for starters, don’t tell me that Jim Henson’s Turkey Hollow isn’t a horror movie!; it’s absolutely horror ible!  There are monsters that make noises at night and scare children!  We also have shudder, Mary Steenburgen, sleepwalking through her role as “The Hippie Great Aunt”!  What could be more horrible than that?  We also have a love-struck, tongue tied sheriff and a really, really bad bad actor with two bumbling confederates who , who, well are just bumbling.  Not to mention that Dad and Daughter are out acted by the Son by an order of magnitude!  Did I mention this was a Lifetime TV movie?  The real stars of course are the monsters Squonk, Zork, Burble, and Thrink, from the Jim Henson factory, even if each one can speak only one word, their name.  Rotten Tomatoes gives it 60%.
All kidding aside, it’s a cute little monster movie that will make your 3 year old laugh after his first gasp on seeing the “monsters”.  I think you’ll enjoy it too.
