Big fan of Matthew McConaughey over the years but this one is a good example of his decline and fallout from Hollywood. You get mud on your shoes and can't get it off. Other great stars in this did not help the muddy waters with this one that you will ultimately regret even watching.

Any movie with Matthew McCaughaney in the cast is a winner with me! The boys in this movie as well as the story itself remind me of Stand By Me and anyone who remembers their youth may relate to what the boys go through. Ellis and Neckbone are the boys who visit "Mud" and listen to his fabulous tales that just happen to come true eventually! This is an unexpected role for McCaughaney who never disapoints!
