Help Center - How to Mark a DVD Received

Search Terms:

The SwapaDVD system is designed so that each member manages his or her own DVD transactions from My Account. It is important to mark a DVD received as promptly as possible after you receive it (and check it for playability), so that the sending member will get credit for sending it.

When you receive a DVD from SwapaDVD:

  • Log into SwapaDVD
  • Click My Account in the toolbar at the top of the site
  • Click the "En Route to Me" tab (you may need to scroll down to see this tab on the My Account Main view)
    • If you have DVDs to mail, the DVDs to Mail tab will be shown as the default view
    • "En Route to Me" will be to the right of the DVDs to Mail tab
  • Scroll down (if necessary) to see the transaction for this DVD
    • If the transaction for the DVD is not on the En Route to Me tab, read this
  • Click on the transaction
  • Click
    • If there was a problem with this DVD, Click
    • Read all about Problem transactions here.
  • The next screen will be the final DVD Received page.
    • at the top you can write a Personal Message to the sender of the DVD
    • in the middle you can fill in optional additonal information about the transaction
    • at the bottom you can write comments about the swap that only we will see

When you have done this, the DVD will move into your Transaction Archive and the sender will have gotten credit for sending the DVD.

If the DVD arrives after it has been declared "lost in the mail" by the system, it needs to be marked received from your Transaction Archive, as follows:

  • Go to your Transaction Archive:

    • From My Account: click the link "Transaction Archive" in the yellow bar at the top of the page
    • From anywhere on the site: place your cursor over My Account in the toolbar at the top of any page on the site and choose Transaction Archive from the menu that drops down
  • Sort your Transaction Archive by:  Requested by Me -  Lost in Mail- Date Requested - Descending
  • Click
  • Locate the Lost transaction for this DVD in the list.
    • Click on the transaction for the DVD.
    • The next pages are the regular DVD Received pages
      • Click on the next page
      • Provide more information about the swap on the next page
        • you will also have the option to send a message to the sender of the DVD
        • you will also have the option to provide comments on the swap that only we will see
  • Both your account and the sender's will be updated when you have done this.

Lost DVDs must be marked received if they arrive, to keep your account in good standing.
