Descent but not great where Luke Perry tosses his preppy gear to put on the cowboy gear where he is barely recognizable. A must for Yippie Kie Yayers and those who enjoy true stories!

This movie is very good. I love movies about exceptional people and this is one exceptional young man. The part I didn't like was that the credits rolled on forever with the pix of the real guy. Can't say more or will spoil. I've watched it 3 times. Enjoy.

8 Seconds is a very easy movie. You will not find any sudden twists or turns that leave you breathless with anticipation. The movie is simply what it states it is; a simple retelling of a bull rider making his way to the top and the love story that develops in that path. The relationships that surround Lane Frost are just as much a part of the plot of the movie as the rodeo is. The biggest problem that this film has is that it can lay on the sappiness a little heavy at times. There were moments as I was watching this film that I felt like I might be watching a made for TV film set to be aired on the Lifetime Channel for women. This is definitely a low budget film and it shows.
Even for all its faults I still enjoyed 8 Seconds. I did not love it but I did like the simplicity of the film. Sometimes it is nice to have a film that just is.

A Great Must See

(5 out of 5 stars)

"A great story line that will captivate your heart and throw you right in the bull pen. Such a interesting perspective on a young man's life, during the rise of his success in bull riding. I did not know what this movie was about but was told to purchase it, sit and watch. In the end I was glad to have done so."
