It's kind of depressing!

Not sure why this got such low ratings, I rather enjoyed this young boy-old man relationship movie. They were both going through something and needed someone and found it in each other.

Michael Caine did a stellar job in this movie as a has-been magician (Clarence) who comes to live in a retirement home run by a young family. The 10 year old son of the house, Edward, is lonely and unable to make friends. Clarence is grieving the loss of his memory along with the death of his wife. Together the two begin to heal their wounds while bringing the best out of the other residents. I couldn't help comparing this comfy, if shabby home (situated somewhere in Great Britain) with the sterile, expensive nursing facilities here in the U.S.

Give this movie a try. You won't be disappointed.
