A Disappointment
Milda Ruffo | Mount Royal, Quebec Canada | 08/14/2002

"The sound in the Beethoven Choral Fantasy portion is excellent and is the only redeeming part of this DVD. It's too bad there wasn't more of the same to fill out the DVD. There is not much worth watching or hearing in the Liszt portion. The camera work leaves much to be desired, focusing on the perspiring face and fingers of the pianist ad nauseum. He plays a boring program of Liszt, as dull as anything we've ever heard. We nearly didn't watch it to the end. It ranks as the most disappointing DVD that we have purchased to date."

"The product is good, i.e. the performance and everything, because I have another brand new copy for years; however, the seller on this item to me was REALLY, REALLY BAD, or TERRIBLE! The quality of the DVD is horrible--both sides were scratched all over, and it does not play on any of my new DVD players! It would go in the DVD tray and started to spin like crazy and making the "wu--wwwu--wwwuu-wwwuuu" sound like 195 mile per hour wind in hurrican, yet never registered to play at all, but the seller listed it as "used but like new"! I wrote to the seller, but never got any response from them, yet I was only requesting for an even exchange for a better copy! I am now thinking about requesting amazon.com to help me get my full refund!"
