A Beautiful, True Story

"Despite criticism from those who would dissect this movie to find faults where there should be none, I loved this story. It's the true story of a family who accepted a boy of a different color as one of their own and helped him to excel in his sports aptitudes and succeed in his more challenging scholastic endeavors. Maybe that's over-simplifying it, but it's a great movie nonetheless. Very heartwarming, especially at the end when you meet the real people. I'm reminded of the movie Radio, which was also a true story.
Enjoy it as an affirmation that people will continue to do the right thing and give of themselves."

""The Blind Side" is just as good as everyone says it is. It's a heartwarming dramedy based on a true story about a homeless African American teenager (Quinton Aaron) who is taken in by a wealthy white woman (Sandra Bullock) and her family. This isn't a sappy movie, but it genuinely warms your heart and makes you laugh. The entire cast is fantastic, but Aaron and Bullock are the two shining stars, and Sandy deserved that Oscar she won earlier this year. This is definitely a film that's not to be missed."
