Movie Reviews

Fun low-budget movie
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I've seen this movie twice... the first time I was somewhat disappointed with it, as like some of the other reviewers, I thought there wasn't enough gore, tension, and scary moments. Strangely enough, I really had fun watching it a second time, and here's why: instead of watching it as a horror / slasher flick, I watched it as more of a murder mystery... who is the killer? What is his / her / their motivation? In my opinion, the best moments of this movie are when various characters run through their various hypotheses regarding the killer and motive. The screenplay was well-crafted, so at any time the killer may be any one of a number of characters. Some of the dialog between characters is quite amusing. So if you look at the cover, and think hockey mask + chainsaw = gore, gore, goreyou'll undoubtedly be disappointed. But if you keep an open mind and play along trying to figure out the killer and motive, you should enjoy the flick. The soundtrack to the movie is excellent, considering that this movie had to be super low budget. The actors also do a nice job."

"This movie is absolutly one of the funniest horror movies ever! Okay so I jumped in two parts, but I haven't had this much fun in a movie since The Evil Dead II! This is great, and yes it does rip-off Friday the 13th, Halloween, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but still this movie is enjoyable, and I don't see why these "die-hard" horror fans don't like it. Come on loosen up, these people know they are in a bad film, so they don't dry to take it seriously. 5 STARS Definately!!!"
This is one of the worst movies ever!!!!

"I know, I know....the cover looks cool...a dude with a hockey mask and a chainsaw, but the movie sucks big time. I saw the cover to the movie in the video store and i said to my self "This movie looks like it would be pretty good"...please don't make the same mistake I did. I also thought there would be alot of gore in it, but there is hardly any, you would think a guy with a chainsaw would leave a little gore behind....wrong!!! I mean the guy only has the chainsaw one friggin time!! The movie is so bad, you are embarrassed when you watch it. Only rent this movie if you want to see how awful a movie can be."
The Legend Of Trevor Moorehouse......
S.M. | Louisiana | 02/26/2006
(3 out of 5 stars)

"I really liked this movie along with Bloody Murder 2. I'm always one for a masked killer lose in the woods! especially yielding a chainsaw! I bought this movie without renting it first and I was not sorry I did for I have seen much worse movies. The movie tries to be a Friday The 13th type film. Although not as good as the Friday the 13th films, it was still a good movie. Taking place in the woods with campers and counselors, the "legend" becomes real as bodies soon turn up missing or dead. The legend of Trevor Moorehouse is now a reality and now the remaining survivors must fight for their life or be the next victim. A must see for slasher horror fans. I definetly recommend anyone seeing this movie. It might be a ripoff of other movies but it still delivers enough to keep you interested."
