She leaves her home and family to pursue a life on the backstretch, and soon meets Blue Fire Lady, an unruly Thoroughbred mare who refuses to accept her training. With Jenny's persistent love and caring, the fractious filly calms down, but the hard realities of the racing business threaten to tear the girl and her horse apart.
