Five part BBC miniseries which aired in 1981. This is one of my old favorites. The title combines elements of teenage drama and conspiracy thriller, and involves child prodigies being manipulated by the Icarus Foundation (school for gifted children) as the basis for a complex scheme involving nuclear missiles. The main character Martin is quite delighted to find an institution which finally fits his needs and I.Q. And he has no idea what is happening to him, either.

There is also a book which was released during the initial run of this series. It fleshes things out more. Amazon's run time is incorrect too. This title totals 146 minutes.
