Movie Reviews

One of My Favorite Movies!!! (Washington, D.C.)
03/08/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"You will enjoy this movie so much you will have no problem watching it over and over again!! This light hearted romantic comedy has some great performances by the actors that played Willow, Van, and Fox. Every time I watch it I see something that I missed. The chemistry between Payne and Dillard was awesome. A lot of the romances I have seen leave me wanting more because there was little or no chemistry between the actors. This movie left me wanting to see these characters continue their story in another film. GO BET!!!!"
Good Stories

"I just wanted to say that this story was wondeful. The characters seem to work very well together and the chemistry was hot. I do feel that there relationship was alittle rushed, but I understand because the movie can only last but so long. Aunt Willow was very funny and the woman who played her did a great job. This has to be one of BET's better films and I hope they keep them coming."
Worth A Try

"This is one of the better BET films unlike that terrible Intimate Betrayal. The cast was believable and the plot wasn't too bogged down with unnecessary information. It was a nice little film that will go quickly and you won't be bored. It allows you to go with the flow and get to know the characters at their own pace. I think the relationship between Dillard and Payne could have taken a little longer to develop. One minute they hated each other and the next they were in love. It was much too fast. It seemed the director was afraid to let the love grow. I didn't see the need for Fredro Starr but he was good despite the fact that he acts the same in everything. I was impressed especially by Dillard whose acting has grown a lot since the previous two films I've seen her in. Many know she usually places " the sexy woman " in films and her acting had no choice but to be one-dimensional. But in this film she shines showing she has range and is not just another pretty face. This is a pretty good date movie and a very good DVD to have. It's one of those light-hearted romantic comedies you can enjoy when taking a break from a good book."
Appreciated Best for Those Over 30

"This movie was a delight. First, you get to see actors that mainstream cinema passes by often. The storyline was completely believable. I believe that the movie would appeal to 30 and over crowd. The situations and content would be better understood by those who are in the between generation. Still young enough for changes, but old enough to appreciate the wisdom in times gone by. A must see."
