"Do I want to be the first to review this item! Daniela is wonderful, words can't explain. The dvd is unique, o carnaval da Bahia, a oitava maravilha do mundo. The song she sings with Gilberto Gil, Vamos fugir, makes me discover and appreciate better this man, his performance here is unbelievable. And Daniela is carnaval and carnaval is Daniela...
Salvador at night, the sea right beside, o trio eletrico, Daniela, Gilberto Gil, a folia... these people are making a better world. Thank you. Muito obrigado, Daniela!"

"I was introduced to Daniela Mercury from a link on a favorite blog. I'm grateful for that introduction. She is an amazing singer, great beauty, superb musician, and charismatic entertainer. How can I describe this DVD?

Well, she has double the energy of a young Tina Turner. The Brazilian beat in the music is infectious. Once I started viewing this I couldn't stop. The "standard" Carnival songs induce the viewer and listener to move in his seat, or even better, to get up and move with the rhythm of the music. But the most amazing section is related to Bach.

There is an amazing piano performance, joined mid-way by the rhythm section and finally by Daniela herself, of the Prelude Number 2 in C minor from The Well Tempered Clavier BWV 847. This is followed by a performance of Bachianis Brasielerias Number 5 by the greatest Brazilian classical composer, Heitor Villa-Lobos. The range of Daniela in performing traditional Carnival songs, modern Brazilian pieces, and these two masterpieces from the classical world, was very impressive.

If you like Brazilian music; if you like the beat of Latin rhythms; if you enjoy spectacle; if you simply want to see the performance of an amazingly talented singer; then BUY THIS DVD and enjoy it.

Highly recommended."
