I think the reason I didn't like this film is because of the expectations I had that were set up by the marketing. This film is a D R A M A! If you watch it expecting a comedy similar to The Break-Up, The Wedding Singer, or other romantic comedies, you will be disappointed. Wanted to enjoy this one but turned out to be another "comedy" in which in you're lucky to have one good laugh. Not sure I even had the one. I found Kevin James' character wimpish and annoying. Vince Vaughan's character put himself through torture for no good reason. I didn't even recognize Wynona Ryder until half-way through the film. Her character is simply unlikable. The plot is barely enough to hang all the supposed laughs on. Deserving of a cheap rental (or free at the library) only if you need to waste 90+ minutes and can't find another way to do so. 1 of 1 member(s) found this review helpful.
