Member Movie Reviews Mary S. (musicallie) Reviewed on 1/16/2013... DVD Set Information: This DVD set was accused of having bad audio in an earlier review. Despite this, I ordered the set. I did not experience any audio problems - which can only lead me to assume there was a bad speaker or DVD reader involved. Please - do take note that this show is fairly old. Sound and Video have both come a long way. Digital images and sounds today are "ultra-clean". Visual images are sharp and the music doesn't have background interference. Some sound imperfections may be from the initial production process. Just like how film imperfections occasionally pop up. But nothing was extreme enough to distract me from the plot-line or show itself. So please rest assured that the quality of the DVDs is solid...the publishing company did a fine job. Sidenote: The physical DVD cases are some of the best I've seen. DVD cases are generally pretty bad on big compilations like this. Hilbrandt | 10/09/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "I purchased all the DVDs that are in this set as they were originally relaesed at very high prices just so I could have this remarkable program for future enjoyment. This Complete Series offering is only slightly more expensive than a single season DVD set I bought early on. Had I known that everything would be available as one set now at this price, I would have waited and saved several hundred dollars. If you are a fan of good wholesome family television, then buy this set immediately because this price is unbelievably great. There is nothing on television anymore that compares to shows like this one, The Waltons, or Little House on the Prairie. I wonder if there will ever be another program like these given the vulgar nature of most TV shows now. Treat yourself and enjoy a classic TV series that wasn't full of foul language, sex and violence."
