This is the 'full' season as opposed to the more hurried "Dragon Ball Z Kai" remake. It is full of all the in-between episodes, including the illusion planet the team collected fake dragon balls at on their way to planet Namik. Perfect for a big fan who missed out on much of the character and plot development in Kai.
