Movie Reviews

The Dubliners Live by the Dubliners
William Stein | 01/09/2007
(4 out of 5 stars)

"This group sings and plays songs from the 1930's to present day. It is a fun DVD that has a lot of bar songs as well as introductions to the struggles that went on in Ireland from WWII onward."
First saw this on Netflix

"I first rented this on Netflix and fell in love with the music and musicians. I wish I knew about them years ago so I could have attended one of their concerts. They represent the true Irish style music. Not jazzed up, not changed into something it isn't. I had to buy not only the video here but also their CD's. I hope the Irish style of music does not die out when these oldies no longer perform.
Unfortunately, I visited Ireland one month (November 2009) before they were due to play in Dublin (December 2009)..RATS! I just didn't know.
Great trip to Ireland, nonetheless."
No Better

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I you like the Dubs you NEED this. This is much better then the CD from the same show, which was edited and cuts out about 1/3 of the songs and alot of the stories and bantering. The Band interviews are sweet, and the remembering the lost Dubs section is very poignant, over all 5 stars, total top class."
