Peter Strauss is outstanding as the dad. This is a true story based on a mom dying. She has 2 girls that are used to an upscale city life. Their dad is a cowboy on a ranch. At mom's death, the girls go to live on a ranch with dad whom they do not know. Dad lives very simply in a wood cabin. It takes dad, Chris and Kelly awhile to get used to the change in circumstances. But they adapt rather well.Their mom had divorced their dad, and they find out how much he loved their mom and how much he loves them. Chris and Kelly get to know their dad and they love him. This is a wonderful family story, except the first couple minutes are violent. I love this movie. My husband and I watched it several times.

"This was an excellent DVD. For young children the initial scene may be considered slightly violent. The story is from a true life story and the acting was good. It was not a high action DVD."
