Julia Roberts was on the verge of her 'Pretty Woman' breakout stardom - Sutherland and Bacon were well-known, but had much more to come. Nice use of lighting to evoke a creepy atmosphere. Suspense and build-up to scary events makes the viewer think there is going to be 'slasher-style' horror, but wisely doesn't need to rely on those effects to tell the story. There is some unnecessary nudity that likely triggered the R rating and unfortunately cheapens the message - a message which is positive and sets the stage for self-reflection. The idea that top med students would take this kind of risk is unbelievable, but there would be no story without getting past that. 1 of 2 member(s) found this review helpful.  K. K.
