Great Picture-Horrible Audio

"Which would you rather have, a stellar picture quality or stellar sound? You hope to have both, but not on this. Having been familiar with the VHS release and the LaserDisc of this concert, I can give much insight (maybe to much) on the qualities of them compared to this DVD. VHS has a terrible picture with muddy colors and grainy detail but the audio, however hissy, is full sound stereo. Laserdisc, has much better picture with full loud stereo sound (but with some digital decay and compressed sound). This DVD? Man its a struggle. The picture is absolutely pristine. The colors are full and bright with high crisp detail. The sound? Absolutely horrible! For one this is NOT encoded in 5.1 (but I don't care) the kicker is it's not encoded in 2.0 either! (I Know this cuz I examined the actual DVD audio file in the computer) What is here is a 3.2 mix which is worthless since who has a 3.2 system? Since I got a 2.0 system the sound gets lost. Plus the volume is so low it should be a crime. The makers of this (K-tel) dropped the ball when producing the audio content -lying about 5.1 then not adding a 2.0 mix. What a bunch of bozos! There is a 2006 verion of this same concert just released by Cherry Red which I have not heard, but lets hope they did the sound right!
As for the concert itself? It's Flesh in their prime. Great concert professionally filmed with crowd footage."
I was very surprised!
