Foghat - Official bootleg DVD vol 1(2002-2004)
James T. Davis | USA | 02/21/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This incarnation of the band is not bad at all.Granted the band is missing Lonesome Dave and Rod Price(both passed away recently)this dvd still delivers.Charlie Huhn formerly of Humble Pie and Bryan Basset of Molley Hatchet are exceptional replacements for the two original members. This line-up still captures the heart of Foghat rock-n-roll.If you are someone who are hooked on Lonesome Dave and Rod Price then this is not for you. But if you can bypass that this line-up is still kicking butt and Foghat still has it going on.Don't be left out. Buy this dvd now. You won't be disappointed."

"I am a huge fan of foghat, iv'e seen them live several times ....i never seen them when they were at their peak in the 70's, but..i could only imagine what they were like then, 'cause even now they can rock better than most of the trash out their nowadays!!......this DVD only has 2 of the original members (roger earl-drums and tony stevens-bass guitar)the other 2 are charlie huhn-vocals/guitar and bryan bassett-guitars....their new lead singer charlie huhn is pretty damn good....the new singer and guitarist (bryan bassett) aren't trying to take the place of rod price or lonesome dave, their just carrying on the foghat tradition of good hard rockin' boogie blues!! and they do it very well...these guys together are deadly!......their isn't too many of these types of band out there....if you loved the original foghat lineup than you'll love these guys too!....GET THE LATEST CD FROM THIS LINEUP ..IT'S CALLED "FAMILY JOULES"....IT ROCKS! and get this DVD!"
It's later day Foghat in concert and it rocks!!! An awesome

"Just love that great Foghat sound!!! Okay Only two original members are here:Drummer Roger Earl and Tony Stevens, but the other new recruits are awesome too(Former Ted Nugent member Charlie Huhn and Wild Cherry's Bryan Bassett)but thats okey because they still rock, enough said!!! Lots of great classics recorded both live and a few studio videos for good measure!!! Don't let the bootleg in the name deter you,the quality is darn good,it's called "Offical Bootleg DVD #1 2002-2004" so it's endorsed by the band itself!!! Great tracks include Honey Hush,Home Is in My Hand,Fool For The City,I Just Want To Make Love To You,and the immortal Slow Ride, the perfect closing number!!! It's so sad that we lost Lonesome Dave Peverett are few years back, but his rock and roll spirit is with us,and this steller DVD is dedicated in his memory!!! Two thumbs up!!! Way Up!!! Five Stars!!! A+"

"I just received this dvd & was totally grateful that Foghat music is in good hands. After Lonesome Dave's death & then Rod Price too, I really thought it was over, but Roger Earl has assembled a great cast of musicians. Craig & Bryan have played in Foghat plenty over the last 20 yrs, but the addition of Charlie Huhn's voice & guitar work was a steal. I just saw the band in Longview Tx. at Alley Fest on 6-6-09 & I was in awe of how good they were. Every song was tight & right on. I honestly did not know they were still rockin, but I'm sold on this band. I have Family Joules on the way to my house right now & can't wait. This dvd is up close & personal with Tony Stevens playin bass but it still rocks. If you can catch Foghat live don't hesitate. May Dave & Rod R.[Rock] I.[In] P.[Peace]"
