THE REVENGE OF BONTA-KUN
Sesho | Pasadena, TX USA | 12/30/2005
(4 out of 5 stars)

"It's the final volume of one of the funniest series of the year, and that's almost enough to make you cry, if you weren't so busy laughing as you enjoy Full Metal Mania! In the first of 3 episodes, Chidori and Sousuke find out that their mild-mannered classmate Ren, the assistant to the student body president is the daughter of the local yakuza lord! But lately, since her father has been ill, some young punks have been trying to assert themselves. That's when Bonta-kun comes into the picture to show the old-timers some lethal moves....if they survive the training! In the second episode, a war has broken out at school because there aren't enough rooms for all the after-school clubs to meet. The Social Science Club has found a way to solve the problem AND perform an experiment on human relationships. They challenge all the other clubs to a contest. Whichever club can pick up the most women wins a room to meet in. Of course, we all know Sousuke is going to go to extremes as he tries to help his friends in the Photography Club. The finale concerns a bio-hazard substance that is accidentally opened and swallowed by a student in class which automatically makes all the students isolate themselves in the cramped room in order to keep the biological weapon from spreading. And we all know how rats act on a sinking ship.

Full Metal Panic Fumoffu is an outright hilarious series that I'm sorry to see come to an end. You would think that a military nut and a fan-abusing firebrand of a girl getting into misunderstandings would get old fast. But this show has kept up the great quality and laughs throughout the whole run. Maybe it's because Chidori still cares for Sousuke no matter what idiotic stunt he tries. Or maybe its the attractive character designs and high-quality animation. If you liked the first Full Metal Panic series, you'll get even more enjoyment out of this anime of a different vein.

If you liked this show, seek out the first Full Metal Panic anime which is equal parts comedy and action. There are also two manga series, Full Metal Panic and Full Metal Panic Overload."
A very entertaining show

"This is a very funny show... I am so glad that they made this short season to keep us entertained. This season was more of a filler season... it's nowhere near as serious as the first or second season.. it's mostly comedy. But it's definitely worth owning if you love FMP at all. If you're thinking about getting it... I would say go for it.. you most likely won't be unhappy (unless you're a diehard serious plot, serious mecha fan.. then you might be unhappy!) :)"
Full Metal Panic- A Kid's Best Laugh

"Full Metal Panic! was the most funny cartoon I have ever seen. Enter a military freak that is caring but simaltaneously dumb about anything that has got nothing to do with war. Also enter a girl that is a whispered [has black technology in her brain] that is being protected by the military freak. What do you get? A funny, animated cartoon. Whoever the director of this cartoon is, i beg you for more of this cartoon. Come on, all of us are waiting!"
Frickin Awesome!

"Had ta quote a little Carl from ATHF there, it was the only thing that seemed apt.

Basically the entire dang season's awesome, but you aint seen nothing til the end episode, baby! The evil little pervert in me was overjoyed. As far as dark sadistic endings that'll have ya laughing loud enough to draw attention throughout the house go, this one's pretty much unbeatable.

I still can't believe they actually let em do it, being as naughty as it is. It's a gem! Totally made the series for me.

Note to self. Buy all cotton boxers from now on."
