I recently bought this movie because it had been awhile since id seen it and i couldnt remember if i liked it enough to not buy it but watching it again it was a good movie in its genre, for those who get scared easily. I think it should be in any horror buffs collection because its a horror classic (even as a remake) but it was slightly confusing if you think too much and want it to make sense. but for a simple watch and get nervous in the middle of the night. Go for it!

This is a remake of Ju On. While I prefer the original in many ways this is a pretty good remake.

Gellar has a fine performance here, she gets away from the pretty girl part and is fairly plain which is nice, we get to see some good acting skills on display by her. Actually everyone has pretty good parts.

The story is fantastic, and I really appreciate their use of time-line. They walk you through the entire story from one person's perspective then take a step back and show it from another persons, it can get confusing if you don't expect it, but it is quite easy to follow.

I really like that they kept with the original's soundtrack as far as the scary sounds etc. The movie is definitely one of the better horror movies to come around, though I do have to say if that is all it takes for a curse like "the grudge" we would all be dead.

If you like horror movies, this is one that while was over-hyped is pretty solid.

This is a wonderfully scary film, I highly enjoyed it. It has a high creppiness factor and uses the simplest sounds in ways that will scare the pants off you. Gellar does a great job in this film.

The only reason I watched this movie was because I like Sarah Michelle Geller. This movie confused the hell out of me. after it was over I was like: WTF.

"This is supposedly the story of a curse that is born and keeps on being reborn, when someone dies in great rage and extreme sorrow. According to that, I'm the best candidate for the next "Grudge", simply because of the pain and sorrow induced from watching this movie!"
