Movie Reviews

Argh!! Bad DVD -- 2 Great Movies (6 Stars) DVD 0 Stars
Glen Hubbard | Palatine, IL USA | 07/02/2007
(3 out of 5 stars)

"There are three movies on this DVD that are supposed to be about Terrence Hill's "Trinity" character. Actually only two are about Trinity and his ne'r do well brother. Boot Hill is an Add on that stars the same two actors, but although it is a fair spaghetti western, has none of the sense of humor or class of the other two. Here is what you get on this DVD:

Boot Hill: A Horrible DVD transfer that is so dark and grainy you can hardly tell what is happening throughout. It is not WS or even Pan and scan. Its just chopped up and put on the DVD. There are times when characters voices are heard but no one is on the screen! Bah!

They Call Me Trinity: I was about to throw the DVD out after watching Boot Hill, then I started watching this movie, which is an old favorite. WoW! This is a great fun movie. The end is a little slow, but this made me decide to keep the DVD. It is a better transfer than Boot Hill, but still could be better. Not Wide screen.

Trinity Is Still My Name: I only saw the first twenty minutes of this but this Sequel to the First Trinity movie seems to have faired as well as the original. Not Widescreen.

In Conclusion, two of these movies make this DVD worth while. The Trinity Movies deserve better treatment than they recieved here. If better Widescreen versions of these films come out, buy them instead. The box claims the Movies were "Remastered" but I do not see how unless they were remastered by a Chimp that was kicked out of film school. I give The second two films 5 stars each, but the DVD 0 Stars Averaged it to 3 Stars just because I do not want to see Trinity and the Bambino fade away.
